To work in an extremely busy paediatric oncology ward in Tanzania you must be a student of 3rd year or above medical study and with previous clinical working experience. A minimum of three weeks staying is required. You should be prepared to work in weekends. Alternately, you can provide important administrative support to the medical team and help organise activities for in-patients and their families like teaching young children how to read etc.

We would like you to work in the Muhimbili National Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Scanlan. Dr. Scanlan, an INCTR sponsored doctor, is a kind, passionate and experienced Irish paediatric oncology doctor based at the ward. A full introduction to the charity and the work will be given. *The INCTR Challenge Fund does not provide financial support. Discussion of how to cover your expenses with former experienced volunteers can be arranged.
