Matthew's sponsored walk was done with a small number of friends/ family on June 26th. They did a loop around the lovely Stanage Edge from Hathersage in the Derbyshire Dales -about 10 miles. On 13th May, ' I've always had a strong urge to support charities in the developing world...''...That's a modest amount by my previous standards, as I've always loved walking, but quite a challenge now; after my bone cancer, I have a titanium prosthesis running through my left leg and femur, and I tire out more quickly. But I've done 7 miles recently, so it's do-able. I decided to do the walk while I was still in hospital last year having chemotherapy - it wil be a delight to be outside in the breeze, walking under my own steam.'--Matthew To read more: Huddersfield Examiner
